Team & Roles

Manage your workspace team members and control who has access to what.

In the current product structure, Team sits alongside Plan and Usage in the workspace management area.

Roles

Iara Data uses role-based access control with 4 predefined roles:

Inviting Team Members

  1. Navigate to Team in the sidebar
  2. Click Invite Member
  3. Enter the person's email address
  4. Select their role
  5. Click Send Invite

The invited person receives an email with a link to set their password and join the workspace.

User Limits

The Free plan is limited to one user. Paid plans include unlimited users, so admins can invite the whole team without buying seats first.

Paid plan usage is governed by the shared Drops balance, storage allowance, and plan capabilities. See Plan & Usage for details.

When you try to invite beyond your user limit:

  • Free plan: Invitation is blocked with a prompt to upgrade
  • Paid plans: Invitations continue as long as the workspace remains in good standing

Invite Language

Invitation emails are sent in the language configured by your browser:

  • 🇺🇸 English
  • 🇧🇷 Portuguese
  • 🇪🇸 Spanish

Managing Members

Change Role

Admins can change any member's role. Click the role dropdown next to a member and select the new role.

Deactivate/Reactivate

Deactivated members lose access but their data and history are preserved. You can reactivate them later.

Remove

Permanently remove a member from the workspace. Past usage and audit history remain available to admins.

Pending Invitations

The Invites section shows pending invitations with:

  • Email — Who was invited
  • Role — Assigned role
  • Actions — Resend invite or Revoke

Important: Only Admin users can invite members and manage roles. If you need to adjust team permissions, ask your workspace administrator.
